Pictures of my Audiences - the Storyteller's-Eye View
June 6, 2010 - First Presbyterian Church of Merrillville, IN
An after-service brunch and storytime, featuring some feel-good stories and laugh-out-loud favorites. We shared Robert Fulghum's "Mother of the Bride," Mark Twain's "What Stumped the Bluejays," James Thurber's sweet fable "Many Moons," and Jerome K. Jerome's "Uncle Podger." Real nice folks, fed me well and bought several of my CDs! I'll be back in December to bring them "Christmas Carol," but if they want me back for more of the fun and funny stuff, I'll definitely bring more Fulghum, that went over big - and probably "Walter Mitty," and some Kurt Vonnegut, either "Next Door" or "Who Am I This Time?" (Note to self!)
